Iconai lives in a cabin his grandfather Uric in the outskirts of town. He is a typical young boy who spends his time doing chores, reading, and venturing within the nearby woods with his cat, Samsara.
His grandafther Uric, spends most of his time in his study and occasionally old friends stop by the cabin. Nothing exciting ever happens in the cabin; life is mostly peaceful. As the leaves begin to brown and delicately fall off the oak and maples tres that surround their property, Iconai celebrates another year around the sun. Tomorrow he is turning 13 years old.
As Iconai rests on the night before his birthday, he finds himself experiencing a vivid dream full of wisdom and seemingly overlayed with prophecy. He wakes up abruptly to the sound of Samsara meowing by his bed. Samsara flees out of his room, bouncing a top the old wooden floors and towards the cellar of the cabin. Iconai swiftly follows Samsara down into the cellar, somewheres he never has had the reason to go into. Samsara stops before a thick large canva drapped from corner to corner covering the entire face of the south-facing wall.
Iconai carefully approaches the canvas and reveals a copper room with strange symbols glowing from the metallic wall.
